Solenis has published its 2025 Sustainability Report, setting out how expansion and integration across the business have strengthened its ability to deliver measurable sustainability outcomes for customers and within its own operations.

The global water and hygiene solutions provider was driven by a combination of growth, integration and customer impact.

“Company growth means improved sustainability,” said John Panichella, CEO, Solenis. “As we expand our capabilities and reach, we become a stronger partner to our customers. That scale allows us to deliver more consistent solutions, deeper expertise and greater impact.”

According to the report, growth has underpinned improvements in governance, reporting and operational discipline.

In 2025, Solenis completed the integration of recent acquisitions and unified systems into a single global operating environment. It also finalised the acquisition of NCH Corporation in November, expanding its footprint in water treatment and industrial solutions. The group invested US$4.68m in sustainable capital expenditure projects to manage environmental impacts and reported a 22% YoY improvement in workplace safety.

Employee engagement metrics were also highlighted, with 96% participation in the company’s culture survey and 80% of employees reporting high satisfaction.

Management said enhanced data quality and process consistency supported stronger sustainability reporting during the year, including the validation of near-term science-based emissions reduction targets aligned with climate science.

Customer impact remained a key performance indicator. Through its ValueAdvantage programme, Solenis documented $349m in customer value delivered, up from $257m the previous year.

The company also reported that 74% of revenue was derived from solutions supporting customer sustainability initiatives, while 91% of active innovation programmes focused on sustainability or circularity.

CSO Dr Lotta Kanto Öqvist said the company’s progress reflects efforts to strengthen data integrity and align sustainability objectives with operational outcomes.

“As our business grows, we are improving the quality of our data, the consistency of our processes and the way we work with customers to turn sustainability goals into real progress,” she said.

During the year, Solenis also opened a new Global Research Centre in Delaware, US to expand development of next-gen technologies in water stewardship, hygiene, recycling and resource efficiency. The facility is intended to enhance responsiveness to customer challenges and accelerate innovation.

The 2025 Sustainability Report has been prepared in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Universal Standards and validated by an independent certification agency, positioning the company’s sustainability disclosures within recognised international reporting frameworks.
